Dan Ettinger returns to the Israel Symphony Orchestra on November 26 and 30, leading a multi-genre performance of Eugene Onegin. Singers from the Israeli Opera will perform excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s opera, while actors from the Gesher Theater will present selections from Pushkin’s play, as well as Eugene Onegin, a Footnote, adapted by Alvis Hermanis and Roy Chen. Directed by Regina Alexandrovskaya, the production combines the emotional resonance of Tchaikovsky’s sweeping score with the irony and social satire underscored in the play.

Ettinger leads a fantastic cast, featuring soprano Alla Vasilevitsky, mezzo-soprano Rachel Frenkel, tenor Alexey Dolgov , and baritone Ionuț Pascu. Actors Ido Mosseri, Shlomi Bertonov, Firas Nassar, Lena Freifeld, and Naama Manor will also be featured.

The production opens on November 26 at the Gesher Theatre in Tel Aviv, with a second performance on November 30 at the Rishon Lezion Cultural Hall.
