‘Rusalka’ at Israeli Opera
This March, Dan Ettinger will conduct Stefano Poda’s brilliant production of Rusalka at the Israeli Opera.
Antonín Dvořák’s dark fairytale, well-known for its haunting melodies, tells of a water nymph who sacrifices everything for love, navigating themes of longing, betrayal, and the eternal human yearning for connection.
The gifted cast includes Alla Vasilevitsky/Ani Yorentz as Rusalka, Alexei Dolgov/Adrian Kramer as the Prince, Edna Prochnick as Jezibaba, Ionut Pascu/Maxim Kuzmin-Karavaev as the Water Sprite, Yasmin Levi-Ellentuck as the Foreign Princess, Rona Shrira/Tamara Navoth as Kitchen Apprentice, Shaked Strul as First Nymph, EfratBramHacohen as Second Nymph, and Shay Bloch as Third Nymph/Hunter/Gamekeeper.
Performances are on March 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15.
