This September, Dan Ettinger leads Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at Teatro di San Carlo where he currently serves as Music Director.

Turkish-Italian director Ferzan Ozpetek created this captivating production for the company in 2019, featuring exquisite set designs by Sergio Tramonti, clever lighting by Pasquale Mariby, and elegant costumes by Alessandro Lai.

The incredible cast includes Ailyn Perez (September 12, 17, 24, 27) / Valeria Sepe (September 15, 20, 26, 28) as Madama Butterfly, Saimir Pirgu (September 12, 17, 24, 27) / Vincenzo Costanzo (September 15, 20, 26, 28) as Pinkerton, Marina Comparato as Suzuki, Ernesto Petti as Sharpless, Paolo Antognetti as Goro, Ildo Song as Bonzo, Paolo Orecchia as Yamadori, Laura Ulloa as Kate Pinkerton, Giuseppe Todisco as Commissario, Antonio De Lisio as Ufficale del registro, Linda Airoldi as Mamma, Anna Paola De Angelis as Zia, Franca Iacovone as Cugina, and Giacomo Mercaldo as Yakusidé.

Performances are scheduled for September 12, 15, 17, 20, 24, 26, 27, and 28.
