Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at Teatro di San Carlo

On January 20 and 22, Dan Ettinger leads the Teatro di San Carlo Orchestra and Chorus in Beethoven’s rousing Symphony No. 9 at Teatro Politeama in Naples, Italy. This marks his first performance as Music Director of Teatro di San Carlo, a position he stepped into this month.

The fourth movement of the work, which features the famous ‘Ode to Joy’ theme, will showcase the talents of an all-star quartet of vocalists including soprano Diana Damrau, mezzo-soprano Edna Prochnik, tenor Bernard Richter and baritone Ludovic Tézier.
