On November 22, Dan Ettinger will join the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid for their 36th annual Saint Cecilia concert dedicated to the patron saint of music.

The concert will begin with Haydn’s Sinfonia Concertante in B flat major Hob. I:105, which will feature a fantastic quartet of soloists, including Margarita Sikoeva, Dragos Balan, Cayetano Castaño and Francisco Alonso. Following this, the orchestra will perform Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E minor, a work often described as the composer’s ‘magnum-opus’. Closing the program will be the Spanish pasodoble entitled Suspiros de España by Antonio Alvárez Alonso and arranged for strings by Cristóbal Halffter.
