‘Così fan tutte’ at Teatro di San Carlo

This spring, Dan Ettinger will return to the Teatro di San Carlo to conduct their run of Mozart’s comedic opera, Così fan tutte. Mr. Ettinger has recently been appointed the Music Director of the theater, beginning on January 1, 2023.

Così fan tutte is among the three operas in which Lorenzo DaPonte and Wolfgang Amadeus collaborated on, with the others being Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni. This stunning production by Chiara Muti, co-produced by Wiener Staatsoper and Teatro di San Carlo, beautifully depicts the farce-like plot as a philosophical journey towards the end of the four lovers’ youthful innocence.

The magnificent cast will feature Mariangela Sicilia as Fiordiligi, Serena Malfi as Dorabella, Alessio Arduini as Guglielmo, Maxim Mironov as Ferrando,  Damiana Mizzi as Despina and Paolo Bordogna as Don Alfonso.

Performances take place on March 23, 25, 27, 29, 31 and April 2.
